This position is in the Oil Markets, Midstream & Downstream (OMD) research team. We deliver information expertise and strategic insights on the global and regional downstream oil market for both – short as well as long-term. Our clients largely comprise oil and gas operators, international/ national oil companies, financial investors, governments, and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth research on geographic segment trends, competitors, industry market trends and issues, and relevant technology topics.
  • Perform high level analysis and modelling. Ability to develop and improve existing proprietary models.
  • Works closely with other individuals and teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness of information and publications to clients.
  • Manage and perform complex research assignments across the downstream industry by utilizing different sources and advanced secondary research techniques.
  • Support SMEs, explaining relationships between market fundamentals and price trends. Prepare presentations and engage with clients and respond to their queries.

What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor’s or higher degree in energy-related field, with 4+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
Basic understanding of refinery processes, configurations, and economics. Hands-on refinery experience is a plus.
Knowledge of global oil and refined product markets, with 1+ years’ experience in data analytics. Previous experience related to analyzing oil balance is a plus.

Advance knowledge in Office 365 applications, especially PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

Strong data visualization skills including experience with PowerBI or similar

Programming skills, especially data handling & manipulation in SQL & Python is desired.

Strong and demonstrable quantitative and analytical skills.

Highly motivated, results oriented and have aptitude for self-learning, with a natural curiosity about oil market fundamentals and technical details.

Displays well-rounded communication skills that implement good listening techniques, clear, concise writing style, and good verbal skills. The ability to communicate across a wide range of groups and personalities internally and externally. Public speaking experience is a plus.

We are looking for an experienced Business Process Consultant with deep and proven experience in delivering successful E2E Customer Centric projects in the area of Oil & Gas.

Expectations and Tasks
As a Techno-Functional consultant, you must possess deep product expertise/business experience and the ability to lead implementation/development projects.

Supporting IS:OIL Partners’sTM Oil & Gas industry customers with the implementation of optimized processes.

Collaboration with development / supporting projects for new SAP developments for the Oil & Gas industry when required.

Project Bid support – Support to build the estimations for new projects/opportunities.

Close cooperation with the global Oil & Gas Hub teams regarding knowledge-sharing and support Business development activities.

Ensure usage of newest technology, focusing on TCO and ROI – when enhancing industry solutions and services.

Supporting the Ramp-Up of new SAP products at our clients of in the Oil &Gas, sector and ensuring knowledge transfer to partners and customers.

Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies

  • Bachelor’s Degree – Master’s degree preferred but not required.
  • SAP Product Expertise (Techno-Functional) in Traders and Scheduler’s Workbench (TSW), Transportation and Distribution and Hydrocarbon Product Management and S/4HANA Commodity Trading and Risk Management (CTRM).
  • Strong analytical skills, result-oriented and effectiveness in problem solving.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Team player and ability to work successfully in culturally diverse environments.
  • ASAP methodology and Solution Manager experience is preferred.

Work Experience

  • Minimum 5+ years consulting experience in Oil and Gas Industry specifically in TSW & TD OR S/4HANA Commodity Trading and Risk Management (CTRM).
  • Proven ability to collaborate with multiple stake holders in an organization.
  • Has been in a Consulting role on a major project.
  • Minimum 2-4 End to End implementation project experience in customer facing role.

Professional Experience
Minimum 8 years experience in EPC organization, preferably in Oil & Gas/ Petrochemicals/Fertiliser, of which at least 3 years in a planning role

  • Provide direction to planners and Cost controllers in developing, setting up, monitoring and controlling of project schedules, plan costs and quantities and smooth cash flow management
  • Preparation and update of Project Controls sections of the Project Execution Plan, including WBS, CBS, Progress measurement procedure and Reporting procedure
  • Monitor and analyse progress to give early warning signals for delays. Also suggest remedial actions for the same.

Shared cross-functionally

To act as interface with Project Manager, Finance & account, functional managers and other stakeholders including customer while preparing project budget and cost analysis and report on timely and accurate forecast of project cost and schedule on a monthly basis, raising alarms and maintain healthy cash flow.

Continuous coordination of cross function activities on planning, monitoring and controlling of project activities right from proposal to commissioning phase of project.

Support Project Manager in the development and delivery of written/oral presentations to the Management and Customer and preparation of progress report.

Active participation in rollout of the project control system development, maintenance and updating, including initial configuration and awareness to all the stakeholders.

To play a role of key support person to the Project Manager on major and minor issues such as change management, risk identification and mitigation etc.

Providing leadership in the selection, appraisal coaching, mentoring, training and developing project controls personnel.

To support on Forex / Commodity hedging actions.

Give input related to Risk for to the Risk Coordinator.

Key competencies – Functional

  • Need to have.
  • Experience of planning in Middle/ Large sized projects from concept to commissioning.
  • Hands-on Experience of Primavera.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of Financial management with good understanding of Taxes and other duties.
